THE BEST OF MINAS TREND 2016 | LO MEJOR DE MINAS TREND 2016

Last week I had the privilege to attend Minas Trend in Belo Horizonte, Brazil! It was a very different experience to anything I've ever attended before as this unique event mixes business with fashion. On it's 18th edition, Minas Trend had over 130 showrooms filled with only the best of Brazilian fashion and the latest of designer's Spring/Summer 2017 collections which have not hit stores yet. This way, buyers get first pick on everything and journalists, get to see trends before anyone else. Because of this, it is extremely attractive for the most prestigious multi-brand stores and journalists to come to this event. Thanks to an invitation of Tex Brazil and Abit, myself as The Big Brown Eyes and 4 other journalists from Vogue Italia, Elle Portugal, WGSN and El Universal (Mexico) got the chance to see the very best of fashion not only from Minas Gerais, but from all over Brazil. La semana pasada tuve el privilegio de asistir por primera vez a Minas Trend en Belo Horizonte, Brasil. Una experiencia super diferente para mi ya que usualmente uno asiste a desfiles de moda pero no a un evento de este tipo. Les explico porqué. Minas Trend en su edición numero 18, es el evento más consolidado de Brasil ya que une moda con negocios. Hay más de 130 showrooms con todo lo último de las colecciones de los mejores diseñadores del país y listos para mostrar sus prendas a los compradores mas prestigiosos del mundo. De esta manera pueden escoger lo último y lo mejor- ya que nada ha salido todavía a la venta. Para los periodistas y en este caso, por cual asistií yo, fué para ver de primera mano todas las tendencias en la pasarela y un adelanto muy importante de las colecciones primavera/Verano 2017. Gracias a TexBrasil y Abit- dos asociaciones de mucho nivel en Brazil,  5 periodistas incluyendo Vogue Italia, Elle Portugal, WGSN, El Universal de Mexico y The Big Brown Eyes estuvimos en primera fila para poder mostrar lo mejor de la industria de moda brasileña. MY SKIN CARE ROUTINE | MI RUTINA DE CUIDADO DE PIEL

I have always had a slight obsession with skin care and because of that I have always looked for the latest and the best products in the market. The environment, the sun, genetics and stress can play a big role on how your skin looks but almost 50% of the appearance of the skin comes from how well you actually take care of it. Lately I have been using Natura’s Chronos line and because of that, I figured I’d share a few of my tips and a little bit about my beauty/skin everyday routine.

Siempre he tenido una pequeña obsesion por los productos de cuidado de piel y por eso siempre estoy buscando lo último y lo mejor para mi piel. El ambiente, el sol, la genetica y el estres juegan un rol muy importante en como se ve nuestra piel, pero casi el 50% del aspecto de tu piel viene del cuidado que tu le das. En mi busqueda por la mejor rutina para mi piel cai con la linea Chronos de Natura y su increiblemente extensa linea de productos especialmente pensados para los diferentes ciclos de la mujer y adecuados para nuestras diferentes edades. Lo mejor de todo es que esta linea tiene productos antiseñales. BASICS REINVENTED

I have a drawer filled with tees: striped, printed, white. I am also a jeans hoarder. Skinny ones, boyfriend jeans, flared- you name it! What makes basics so attractive to me? I think i simply have a fascination for what is versatile and so easy to put together with other pieces- it makes the purchase all worth it. That sums up what basics are to me: pieces worth having a drawer filled with them. You can transition from summer to fall with them, you can dress them up with accessories or dress them down. You are in charge of your own style when you wear basics. A very classy girl can wear it equally as a trendsetter can too. Tengo un cajon en mi closet lleno de poleras: a rayas, con estampas y muchas blancas. También soy adicta a los blue jeans- boyfriend, skinny, bota ancha- me gustan todos! Que es lo que este tipo de piezas básicas hace para que las ame tanto? Simplemente pienso que tengo una fascinación por lo versátil. Lo versátil hace que el costo que pague por esa prenda valga 100% la pena. Puedes transicionar tu look de verano a otoño con ellas, puedes vestirlas casual o realzarlas con accesorios. Puedes estar completamente en control de tu estilo con ellas porque no importa si eres clásica o eres vanguardista- una pieza básica siempre estará en tu closet.
