WEEKEND GETAWAY

8/28/2017

Every once in a while I need to disconnect and nothing seems to help more with that than getting out of the city. I may not entirely disconnect from social media, but changing scenery really gets the mind resting and the spirits rising. Two weeks ago I decided to take some time off and do a weekend getaway for two. My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to some alone time away and take a break from our crazy work days and hectic schedules. It is not our first time at El Pueblito so we know by now that it's our favorite destination whenever we visit the town of Samaipata, Bolivia. I have to admit three of the biggest reasons we always go back is because of the breathtaking views, the peace and quiet, and Nicole, the owner's cat. She follows me everywhere and even takes naps with me. The owner says she misses me when I leave. I think she misses the food I secretly give her.

You all know I'm of a show rather than talk kind of person, so I wanted to show you guys some pics we took while being there. This 4 star hotel was the perfect backdrop to our photos- all the houses have beautiful art that is handed painted, there's a beautiful church in the middle, the rooms are so cozy and welcoming and the views at sunset while sitting on a swing, are indescribable. Nothing beats the feeling of being in this place. I hope you guys enjoy this post!
